At ExperTec Automotive, we remove the tire from the wheel to inspect it inside and out, then repair it the right way with an industry-standard patch and plug from the inside. Tire sealant kits and outside plugs are only temporary fixes; a proper internal repair seals the puncture and keeps moisture from damaging the tire’s steel belts.

Not every flat is repairable. Industry safety standards decide whether a tire can be patched or needs to be replaced.
Nails, screws and small objects in the main tread area can usually be repaired.
Holes up to about 1/4 inch in diameter are typically repairable. Larger holes or cuts mean a replacement.
Damage to the sidewall or shoulder of the tire can’t be safely repaired, because that area flexes constantly.
Driving on a flat can crush the sidewall from the inside. We inspect the inside of every tire before repairing it.
Punctures too close together, or on top of an old repair, usually mean the tire should be replaced.
We repair and service run-flat tires where the manufacturer allows it, and reset your tire pressure monitoring system after the repair.
A safe, long-lasting repair follows the same steps every time.
We locate the leak, remove the tire from the wheel and inspect the inside for hidden damage from being driven on low air pressure.
We clean the puncture, install a patch and plug from the inside, remount and balance the tire, set the correct pressure and check your TPMS sensor.

In most cases, yes. If the nail is in the tread area and the hole is about 1/4 inch or smaller, we can repair it with a patch and plug from the inside.
An outside plug by itself is a temporary fix. We use a combination patch and plug installed from inside the tire, which is the repair method recommended by tire manufacturers.
Most flat repairs take less than an hour. Call ahead and we’ll get you in as quickly as we can.
We’ll show you the damage and help you choose a replacement tire. We carry top brands and can usually install the same day.
Yes. After every repair we check your TPMS sensor and reset the system if needed.
