Expert Mercedes-Benz maintenance and repair from ASE-certified technicians at ExperTec Automotive Anaheim.

Inland Anaheim heat is a real test for a Mercedes-Benz. A GLE stuck in 91 traffic, an S-Class idling outside the Disneyland Resort or a Sprinter van running deliveries near Angel Stadium all put heavy loads on cooling systems, A/C and transmissions. ExperTec Automotive at 718 W. Lincoln Ave is ready for it.
Our technicians handle Service A and Service B visits, diagnose warning messages with dealer-level scan tools and track down the oil and coolant leaks that heat cycles bring out. We also service Airmatic suspensions, BlueTEC diesel emissions systems and 7G-Tronic transmissions on models like the ML, GL, GLS and E-Class.
ExperTec has served Orange County for more than 30 years and has been voted OC’s best auto repair 10 years in a row. We use OEM-quality parts and back every job with a 3-year/36,000-mile nationwide warranty, so your Mercedes is ready for the 5 and 57.
Most modern Mercedes-Benz vehicles use the Flexible Service System, which displays a reminder for Service A or Service B in the instrument cluster. Service A typically comes first, at about 10,000 miles or 1 year, and covers a synthetic oil and filter change, fluid checks, tire inspection and a brake check. Service B follows about a year or 10,000 miles later and adds a cabin filter replacement, brake fluid exchange and a more thorough inspection. The two then alternate, while items like spark plugs, air filters, transmission fluid and coolant are added at set mileage or time milestones. Short trips and heavy traffic can bring reminders up sooner.
Upon completion of the standard maintenance tasks we provide an additional 30-point inspection to make sure that all components in your Mercedes-Benz are up to date and working well.
~10,000 miles / 1 year (then alternates)
~20,000 miles / 2 years (then alternates)
At ExperTec Automotive, we’ve been repairing Mercedes-Benz vehicles in Orange County for over 30 years. Even well-built Mercedes-Benz models develop specific problems as they age, and freeway commutes on the 5, 91 and 57 and inland summer heat add to the wear. Our Anaheim technicians diagnose these issues quickly, follow Mercedes-Benz factory repair procedures and use quality parts you can trust.
The 7G-Tronic automatic transmission used across many Mercedes models is known for conductor plate and speed sensor failures, causing harsh shifts, a stuck gear or limp mode. Old fluid can make shift quality worse. We read transmission codes with dealer-level tools, service the fluid and filter, and replace or program the conductor plate when needed.
BlueTEC diesel models such as the ML350, GL350, GLE and E-Class use an AdBlue (DEF) system and NOx sensors to control emissions. Heaters, pumps and sensors can fail, triggering countdown warnings that can limit restarts. Short trips also clog the DPF. We diagnose the full emissions system and replace faulty components.
Many modern Mercedes-Benz models use a small auxiliary battery to support the transmission and start/stop systems. When it weakens, you may see an “auxiliary battery malfunction” message, start/stop stops working or other electrical warnings appear. We test both the main and auxiliary batteries and the charging system, and replace the correct battery.
Plastic coolant reservoirs, hoses, water pumps and electronically controlled thermostats on engines such as the M276 and M274 can leak or fail with age, leading to low coolant warnings, overheating or a check engine light. Southern California heat speeds up the wear. We pressure test the system and repair leaks with OEM-quality parts.
Many Mercedes engines can develop leaks from the oil cooler seals, oil filter housing, valve covers and timing covers as gaskets harden with heat. Oil dripping onto hot exhaust parts causes smoke and a burning smell, especially in summer traffic. We dye-test to find the true source and reseal it with OEM-quality gaskets.
S-Class, E-Class, CLS, ML, GL and GLS models with Airmatic suspension can develop leaking air struts, a failing compressor or a faulty valve block with age. Signs include the car sitting low after parking, a suspension warning message or a harsh ride. We pinpoint leaks, test the compressor and relay and replace only the failed parts.
