Expert Lincoln maintenance and repair from ASE-certified technicians at ExperTec Automotive Anaheim.

A Navigator or Aviator can make a long 91 commute feel relaxing, but Anaheim’s summer heat and stop-and-go traffic still put real strain on turbocharged EcoBoost engines, 10-speed transmissions and air suspension. ExperTec Automotive at 718 W. Lincoln Ave, near Downtown Anaheim, focuses on catching those problems early.
We see plenty of Nautilus, MKX, Corsair and MKZ models from families who drive the 5 and 57 daily or shuttle visitors to the Disneyland Resort. Our technicians use dealer-level scan tools to read Lincoln’s modules, check transmission adaptations and track down the cooling system leaks that show up in inland heat.
For more than 30 years ExperTec has served Orange County, and we have been voted OC’s best auto repair 10 years in a row. With ASE-certified technicians, OEM-quality parts and our 3-year/36,000-mile nationwide warranty, your Lincoln gets thorough, honest service close to Angel Stadium and home.
Lincoln uses the Intelligent Oil-Life Monitor, which tracks engine revolutions, operating temperature, trip length and driving conditions to decide when an oil change is due, then shows a message in the cluster. Under ideal conditions it may stretch to about 10,000 miles or 1 year, whichever comes first, but short trips, extended idling, towing and heat bring the reminder up much sooner. The monitor only covers the oil, so items such as tire rotations, cabin and engine air filters, brake fluid, coolant, spark plugs and transfer case fluids follow separate mileage-based milestones listed for your model.
Upon completion of the standard maintenance tasks we provide an additional 30-point inspection to make sure that all components in your Lincoln are up to date and working well.

At ExperTec Automotive, we’ve been repairing Lincoln vehicles in Orange County for over 30 years. Even well-built Lincoln models develop specific problems as they age, and freeway commutes on the 5, 91 and 57 and inland summer heat add to the wear. Our Anaheim technicians diagnose these issues quickly, follow Lincoln factory repair procedures and use quality parts you can trust.
Lincoln’s 10-speed automatic in the Navigator and Aviator has been reported for harsh, delayed or erratic shifts, and some 6-speed automatics in models like the MKC and MKZ can shudder. Software updates and adaptive learning often play a role. We scan the transmission control module, check fluid condition, apply updates and perform relearn procedures.
Navigator models with air suspension can develop leaking air springs, a worn compressor or faulty height sensors as they age. Symptoms include the SUV sitting low after parking, a stiff or bouncy ride or a suspension warning message. We locate leaks, test the compressor and replace the failed parts so ride height and comfort return.
MyLincoln Touch and some SYNC versions are known for frozen screens, Bluetooth dropouts, slow responses and backup camera problems. Many cases trace back to outdated software or a weak battery. We check battery and charging health, apply available updates and diagnose faulty modules, screens or wiring with dealer-level scan tools.
Some Ford and Lincoln vehicles, including MKZ and MKC models, have been widely reported for door latches that fail to latch or release properly, and power liftgates that stall or beep. Coastal salt air can add corrosion to the mix. We diagnose the latch, actuator and wiring and replace parts with OEM-quality components.
Some 1.5L and 2.0L EcoBoost engines found in models such as the MKC and Corsair have been reported to let coolant seep into the cylinders. Look for white exhaust smoke, misfires, coolant loss without an obvious leak or overheating. We run cooling system pressure tests, combustion leak tests and borescope checks to confirm the problem.
AWD versions of the MKX, MKZ, MKT, Nautilus and similar models use a power transfer unit that sits near the hot exhaust. Its fluid can overheat, break down and leak, producing a burning smell, noise or eventual failure. Summer heat speeds it up. We inspect the seals, change the PTU fluid on schedule and repair leaks.

The Intelligent Oil-Life Monitor is accurate for most driving, and it already shortens the interval for short trips and heat. For turbocharged EcoBoost engines with heavy idling or towing, we may suggest changing oil a bit earlier than the monitor demands to protect the timing chain and turbo.
