Expert Chrysler maintenance and repair from ASE-certified technicians at ExperTec Automotive Costa Mesa.

Few vehicles do more for a busy family than a Chrysler Pacifica or Town & Country. In Costa Mesa they handle school runs, soccer carpools, South Coast Plaza trips and summer nights at the OC Fair, and ExperTec Automotive at 1934 Newport Blvd keeps them ready for every one.
Short trips and stop-and-go traffic on the Newport Blvd corridor mean engine oil rarely gets fully warm, and coastal salt air works on brake hardware and sliding door tracks. Our ASE-certified technicians follow your oil change indicator, inspect for corrosion and check the power doors and liftgate that families rely on.
We use dealer-level scan tools and OEM-quality parts on every Chrysler, from the Pacifica Hybrid to the classic 300 sedan, and back our work with a 3-year/36,000-mile nationwide warranty. Thirty-plus years in Orange County and 10 years as OC’s best auto repair say we will treat your family car right.
Most late-model Chrysler vehicles use an oil change indicator that estimates oil life from engine operating conditions and alerts you when service is due, typically up to about 10,000 miles or 12 months, whichever comes first, and sooner with heavy use. Chrysler pairs the indicator with a printed maintenance schedule for items like tire rotations, engine and cabin air filters, spark plugs, coolant and transmission service. Severe use, such as towing, extended idling, dusty conditions or many short trips, calls for shorter intervals. We follow the schedule for your exact model and reset the indicator after every service.
Upon completion of the standard maintenance tasks we provide an additional 30-point inspection to make sure that all components in your Chrysler are up to date and working well.

At ExperTec Automotive, we’ve been repairing Chrysler vehicles in Orange County for over 30 years. Even well-built Chrysler models develop specific problems as they age, and 55 Freeway commutes and coastal salt air add to the wear. Our Costa Mesa technicians diagnose these issues quickly, follow Chrysler factory repair procedures and use quality parts you can trust.
The 3.6L Pentastar V6 in the Pacifica, Town and Country and 300 uses a plastic oil filter housing and cooler assembly in the valley of the engine that is well known for cracking and leaking. Oil may drip down the back of the engine, and some versions can also leak coolant. We confirm the source and replace the housing with an updated design.
Some 3.6L Pentastar V6 engines develop a ticking noise from failed rocker arm roller bearings or lifters, sometimes with misfire codes. Some earlier engines also had a left cylinder head valve seat issue. We listen with diagnostic tools, check misfire data and camshaft condition, then replace rocker arms, lifters or other parts as needed.
The 9-speed automatic in the Chrysler 200 and Pacifica is known for hesitation, rough low-speed shifts and occasional harsh engagement, especially in earlier years. Many cases improve with software updates and an adaptive relearn. We scan for codes, check for available updates, inspect fluid condition and road-test to tell a calibration problem from a mechanical one.
Town and Country minivans with the 62TE six-speed automatic can develop harsh shifts, slipping, delayed engagement or limp mode as mileage climbs, varying by model year and maintenance history. Fluid condition plays a big role. We scan transmission codes, check fluid level and condition with the correct procedure and recommend service, solenoid repair or rebuild depending on what we find.
The Totally Integrated Power Module in many late 2000s to mid 2010s Town and Country and 300 models is known for causing strange electrical problems, such as a no-start or stalling condition from the fuel pump relay, horns or wipers acting on their own and lights that misbehave. We test circuits and relays to confirm the TIPM before replacing or repairing it.
Power sliding doors on the Pacifica and Town and Country can stop working because of worn cables, failed motors, broken wiring in the door track or misaligned latches. Power liftgates also lose struts and motors with age. We diagnose with dealer-level tools, inspect the mechanism and wiring and repair the specific failed component.

Some Pacifica 9-speed transmissions do shift roughly at low speed, and software updates or an adaptive relearn often help. We scan for codes and check fluid condition to rule out a mechanical problem before recommending a fix.
