Expert Cadillac maintenance and repair from ASE-certified technicians at ExperTec Automotive Anaheim.

Big, comfortable and powerful, the Escalade and XT6 are popular choices for Anaheim families, and they get a real workout here. Freeway commutes on the 5 and 91, Disneyland Resort traffic and inland summer heat put extra load on V8 lifters, transmissions and A/C systems.
ExperTec Automotive on W. Lincoln Ave in Downtown Anaheim has kept Orange County Cadillacs on the road for more than 30 years. Our ASE-certified technicians chase down cylinder deactivation lifter ticks, 8-speed shudder, timing chain codes on the 3.6L V6 and cooling system leaks with dealer-level diagnostics rather than guesswork.
You get OEM-quality parts, honest recommendations and a clear estimate before any work begins, plus a 3-year/36,000-mile nationwide warranty that follows you on road trips. It’s why drivers around Angel Stadium and beyond have voted us OC’s best auto repair 10 years running.
Cadillac uses the GM Oil Life Monitor, which calculates when your oil needs changing based on engine revolutions, temperature and how the vehicle is driven, and displays remaining oil life as a percentage in the Driver Information Center. Changes typically come up somewhere between about 5,000 and 7,500 miles, sooner with towing, short trips or heat, and at least once a year regardless. Items like tire rotation, air filters, spark plugs, transmission fluid and coolant follow the separate schedule in your owner’s manual. We use dexos-approved oil in the correct viscosity for your engine and reset the monitor after every service.
Upon completion of the standard maintenance tasks we provide an additional 30-point inspection to make sure that all components in your Cadillac are up to date and working well.

At ExperTec Automotive, we’ve been repairing Cadillac vehicles in Orange County for over 30 years. Even well-built Cadillac models develop specific problems as they age, and freeway commutes on the 5, 91 and 57 and inland summer heat add to the wear. Our Anaheim technicians diagnose these issues quickly, follow Cadillac factory repair procedures and use quality parts you can trust.
The older Northstar V8 in DeVille, DTS, STS, Seville and some SRX models is well known for head gasket failures caused by weakened head bolt threads in the aluminum block. Symptoms include overheating, coolant loss and white exhaust smoke. We pressure-test the system, check for combustion gases in the coolant and explain repair options honestly before any major work.
Magnetic Ride Control shocks on the Escalade, CTS-V, STS and other models can leak fluid or fail electrically over time, causing a harsh or floaty ride and a service suspension warning. We scan the suspension module for fault codes, inspect each shock for leaks and replace failed units with the correct magnetic dampers, then confirm proper operation.
The 3.6L V6 in Cadillac models such as the SRX and XT5 can develop coolant leaks from the water pump, coolant crossover and hoses as mileage climbs. You may see a low coolant warning, smell coolant or find drips under the front of the vehicle. We pressure-test, locate the source and repair with OEM-quality parts before it overheats.
Cadillac SUVs like the SRX and Escalade route sunroof water through small drain tubes in the pillars. When debris or sand clogs them, water can overflow into the headliner, soak carpets and damage electrical modules. We clear and test each drain, check seals and look for any water damage to wiring and control modules.
Cadillacs with the 8-speed automatic, including many mid-to-late 2010s Escalade, CTS and CT6 models, are known for a shudder or vibration at steady highway speeds, often from the torque converter clutch. Updated fluid and a full flush resolve many cases. We confirm the symptom with live data, perform the recommended fluid exchange and evaluate the torque converter if needed.
Earlier 3.6L V6 engines used in models like the SRX, CTS and STS, especially from the late 2000s to early 2010s, are known for timing chain stretch. Warning signs include a check engine light with cam and crank correlation codes, rough idle or startup rattle. We verify stretch with live data and replace chains, guides and tensioners together.
