Expert Buick maintenance and repair from ASE-certified technicians at ExperTec Automotive Anaheim.

Anaheim puts a family crossover to work. Between freeway commutes on the 5, 91 and 57, resort traffic near Disneyland and summer afternoons that bake the pavement, a Buick Enclave or Envision racks up hard miles even when it seems to be just getting around town.
ExperTec Automotive on W. Lincoln Ave in Downtown Anaheim knows where those miles show up first: timing chains and transmissions on the Enclave’s 3.6L V6, coolant and oil leaks on the Encore’s 1.4L turbo, and A/C systems that have to fight inland heat. Our ASE-certified technicians diagnose with dealer-level tools and fix the root cause.
Count on OEM-quality parts, a 3-year/36,000-mile nationwide warranty and more than 30 years of Orange County experience, from the shop voted OC’s best auto repair for a decade straight.
Buick uses the GM Oil Life Monitor, which estimates remaining oil life from engine revolutions, operating temperature and driving conditions rather than a fixed mileage, and alerts you when it is time for a change, often somewhere between about 5,000 and 7,500 miles, but sooner with short trips, heat or towing. GM recommends a change at least once a year even if oil life remains. The monitor only tracks oil, so tire rotations, filters, spark plugs, transmission fluid and coolant follow the separate maintenance schedule in your owner’s manual. We use dexos-approved oil and reset the monitor after every service.
Upon completion of the standard maintenance tasks we provide an additional 30-point inspection to make sure that all components in your Buick are up to date and working well.
~5,000–7,500 miles, or at least yearly
~22,500–150,000 miles, varies by model/engine
At ExperTec Automotive, we’ve been repairing Buick vehicles in Orange County for over 30 years. Even well-built Buick models develop specific problems as they age, and freeway commutes on the 5, 91 and 57 and inland summer heat add to the wear. Our Anaheim technicians diagnose these issues quickly, follow Buick factory repair procedures and use quality parts you can trust.
Buick LaCrosse, Regal and Verano models from roughly 2010 to 2013 with the 2.4L Ecotec four-cylinder can burn oil because of piston ring and PCV design, and low oil can accelerate timing chain wear. We run an oil consumption test, inspect plugs and check the PCV system, then explain your options, which may include updated parts or more involved engine repair.
Three-row Enclaves route refrigerant lines underneath the vehicle to the rear A/C unit, and these lines can corrode and leak over time, leaving the cabin warm, especially the back rows. We dye-test and electronically sniff the system to find the leak, replace corroded lines with OEM-quality parts and recharge to the factory specification.
Heavier Buick crossovers like the Enclave can wear out front wheel bearings and suspension parts, showing up as a humming or growling noise that changes with speed, clunks over bumps or uneven tire wear. Coastal salt can speed it along. We road-test, measure play at each wheel and replace bearings, links and bushings with OEM-quality parts.
Many modern Buick engines, including the 3.6L V6 and several turbocharged four-cylinders, use direct fuel injection, which can let carbon deposits build on the intake valves over time. Rough idle, hesitation and misfire codes can result, varying by model/engine and driving habits. We confirm with live data and inspection, then perform an intake cleaning service when warranted.
The 1.4L turbocharged engine in the Buick Encore is known for coolant leaks from the water pump, thermostat housing and turbocharger coolant lines. Watch for a low coolant message, sweet smell after driving or white residue near the engine. We pressure-test the cooling system, find every leak point and replace the faulty parts before an overheat damages the engine.
The PCV system on the Encore’s 1.4L turbo is built into the valve cover, and when its diaphragm fails it can cause a whistle at idle, rough running, lean codes and oil leaks from pressurized seals. We smoke-test the intake, check crankcase pressure and replace the valve cover assembly with an updated design when the PCV diaphragm has failed.
