Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience in the automotive field or compatible experience in sales and customer service.
• Experience dealing with the public on all levels.
• Proficient computer knowledge and telephone etiquette.
• Trainable and a quick learner.

Responsibilities

• Assign work to technicians, manage shop workflow, ensure quality of repairs and advise customers when repairs are complete.
• Schedule repair and maintenance appointments over the phone and in person.
• Track all repairs in progress and order parts when necessary.
• Call customers to discuss diagnostic results and recommended repairs.
• Manage customer concerns in a professional and friendly manner.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

• Pick up and drop off customers using the company shuttle van.
• Pick up parts and run errands.
• Maintain restrooms (stock and clean).
• Sweep, mop and dust the front office and shop.
• Assist in pulling in cars at the end of the day.

We are seeking an experienced Master Technician and/or a Smog Technician with a Smog and Repair License. A Master Technician diagnoses and performs complex repairs independently, including check engine lights, electrical concerns and air conditioning systems. A Smog Technician diagnoses and repairs all smog-related failures.
